Word from the Director
Welcome to
École Ruban Vert
Welcome to The International School of Gabon Ruban Vert.
We are delighted to share with you all that this amazing school has to offer. Since its founding in 2013, Ecole Ruban Vert (ERV) has rapidly developed a strong reputation for innovation and success in the global educational community for both its academic excellence and educational innovation.
ERV was founded to become Africa’s most enterprising school, focusing on sustainability and innovation, weaving together insights from around the globe about how to best prepare children for their futures as internationally minded, global citizens.
ERV is the only school in Gabon providing the International Baccalaureate to all students in English. With a robust “Gabonese thread” woven into the curriculum to ensure our students maintain their connection with the local culture within our international setting. Valuing bilingualism, our students continue to learn French at a level appropriate to their needs. With a huge diversity of more than 40 nationalities in our community we also provide lessons and language exams in a wide range of other languages.
Our purpose-built campus was designed to be a “Green Ribbon” within the busy city of Libreville and offers a beautiful setting for our students to study in and all our families to enjoy. The caring community of teachers and students is an extraordinary recipe for deep and enduring learning inside and outside of the classrooms. Where we take a holistic approach to education instilling the ERV values of: Excellence, Respect and Virtue.
In addition to the learning of our students, ERV is a vibrant centre for educator learning as well, welcoming teachers from around the world for training, who are passionate about what is possible for our students and the critical role that education plays in our shared future.
We hope that you will contact us to learn more about this world-class school on our beautiful campus in Libreville.
Sincerely
Jonathan Ferreira
