Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have adjusted rules regarding our school library usage. The main purpose behind these is to reduce the points of contact in order to prevent the spread of the virus.

Last year, the school acquired an Integrated Library System called Librarika in order to manage library resources circulations.

Librarika Account and activation:

All students enrolled at ERV and staff have a Librarika account which is created by the Librarika Administrator using email addresses provided by the school. No personal email can be used to create an account for the ERV Library. 

Once the account has been created, students and staff will receive an email inviting them to join the ERV Library. To join the library you must create your password as a new user. Please see this video: Creating a Password for Your Librarika Account

Library Checkout:

Students will not be allowed to enter the library to check out their books. They can consult our library resources in the Catalog Items under the Catalog tab in Librarika or through the Search area. Once the desired book is found they can request for the resource. Please see this video: How to request items as a library member

Once items are requested, a notification email will be automatically sent to the school’s librarian who will process the request.

Items Collection:

Once a request is processed, the librarian will notify via email that books are ready to be collected. Books will be placed on the Items Collection trolley in the library.

Library Check-in:

A return box will be available in the Admin building by the library entrance. All returns must be placed in that box and will only be checked in the system the following day.

Additional information:

  • Textbooks are checked out for the whole academic year
  • It is the student’s responsibility to make sure that all their textbooks are covered to avoid damages
  • Books damaged or lost can be replaced or reimbursed (in that case the replacement cost will be communicated)
  • Other resources are borrowed for a period of two weeks only
  • Book extension can be requested by sending an email to the school librarian
